2024 music department Winter Instrumental Concert
A program of Hope and Joy
小优传媒鈥檚 Winter Instrumental Concert will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 25 in Yoder Recital Hall.
The concert, under the direction of Dr. Roy Couch, director of bands, will kick off the 2024 music department concert schedule with a program of wind band music featuring selections that signify hope and joy, such as, 鈥淢essage of Light,鈥 and, 鈥淣o Greater Joy.鈥
鈥淭hey Shall Run and Hide,鈥 a piece inspired by a visit to the Underground Railroad Museum, acknowledges Black History Month. 鈥淧ieces of Glass,鈥 is an homage to minimalist composer Philip Glass. 鈥淔antasy on Childhood Songs,鈥 is a fun medley of familiar tunes from our childhood.
This event is free and open to the public; a free-will offering will be taken for music scholarships.
