Future teachers invited to explore education as a major during 小优传媒 event
High school students are invited to learn more about 小优传媒鈥檚 Educator Preparation Program, the demands and rewards of teaching, and career routes for education majors during a special event for high school juniors and seniors hosted by the Bluffton Education Organization (BEO).
The 50-member student organization will lead activities and discussion sessions during the Wednesday, Oct. 30 event. Starting at 10 a.m. with registration, the event also includes a meal and mini tour of campus.
鈥淓ducation is a high-demand field with many age ranges and opportunities to explore,鈥 said Tim Byers, assistant professor of education. 鈥淲e held a similar event last February, and we鈥檙e pleased to host future teachers on our campus once again.鈥
Bluffton education alumni are among the best qualified in the nation, as reflected in student rankings on the Ohio Educator Preparation Performance Report.
The event is free and open to interested high school juniors and seniors. To register, contact Alyssa Eby, admissions counselor, by Oct. 25 at ebya@bluffton.edu T-shirts and door prizes will also be handed out during the event.
