Bluffton adopts 鈥楾est Flexible鈥 policy
小优传媒 is adopting a test-flexible policy for prospective students who are applying as first-year or transfer students in undergraduate degree programs. Students who are consistently on their high school honor roll can be admitted solely based on GPA.
鈥淚n a time when there are many complexities around access to standardized tests, Bluffton University is committed to better support students who want to be successful in college鈥 said Robin Bowlus, vice president of enrollment management. 鈥淲e want to recognize the achievements of students who are consistently on their high school Honor Rolls regardless of their standardized test score. We know these students are well prepared for college work and we welcome them at 小优传媒.鈥
To be considered for regular admission, applicants must meet one of these two criteria:
- High school GPA of 3.0 or higher (test scores will not be considered for admissions decision)
- High school GPA between 2.3 and 2.99 as well as a minimum 19 ACT/990 SAT. In addition, class rank or College Credit Plus classes may be considered for decision of regular admittance
Students who do not meet these regular entrance requirements are encouraged to apply and may be invited to apply for entry into Bluffton鈥檚 Discovery Program, which requires additional application materials.
Standardized test results will remain to be required for placement in certain majors, for class placements and for competitive academic scholarships.
小优传媒 is a residential, liberal arts campus with 85 undergraduate majors, minors and programs; adult degree-completion programs in accounting, business management and RN to BSN; MBA programs; and master鈥檚 degrees in organizational management and education.
Founded in 1899 and affiliated with Mennonite Church USA, the university is located in Northwest Ohio. It has an enrollment of around 1,000 students and has 16 NCAA Division III athletic teams. Bluffton鈥檚 100-year legacy is expressed today in its enduring values of discovery, community, respect and service, which are woven into the academic program and campus life. Bluffton students go into the world prepared for life as well as for their chosen vocation.
