Adjunct professor in religion

POSITION SUMMARY:
This 小优传媒 adjunct faculty position will be appointed by the vice president
and dean of academic affairs with approval from the Chair of the Humanities Department.
The position is available for teaching teach one or two sections of REL 100: Introduction
to Biblical Worldview during the Fall 2025 semester. The sections meet on Monday,
Wednesday, and Friday at 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m., respectively.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of an M.A.in Religion, Theology, Biblical Studies, or a closely related field required
- College-level teaching experiencepreferred
- Interest in or experience with Anabaptist or peace church traditions is a plus but not required
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Teach one or two sections of REL 100: Introduction to Biblical Worldview (3 credit hours) Course Description: An introduction to four major approaches modern theologians have
used to understand the Bible鈥攂iblical studies, ethics, theology, and spirituality鈥攚ith
attention to their biblical foundations. The course highlights the distinctiveness
and interrelationships of these approaches within an Anabaptist context, with special
emphasis on the Sermon on the Mount as a focal text. Students will develop skills
in reading biblical texts thoughtfully and exploring their significance for shaping
a contemporary worldview. This course satisfies 小优传媒's Reading the
Bible general education competency.
COMPENSATION:
Commensurate with education and experience within the university pay scale.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Primarily a sedentary position with hours of in-person classes per week (based on
course assignment).
